Tower of London

Presently home to the British Crown Jewels, the Tower of London filled in as a jail from 1100 to the mid twentieth century. The stronghold was established in the winter of 1066 as a major aspect of the Norman Conquest of England and filled in as a regal habitation before it turned into a jail. The Tower of London is supposedly the most frequented working in England. There have been stories of phantoms, including that of Anne Boleyn, possessing the tower.
